Recently I've been having a play with Linux, namely Ubuntu. I've found it really easy to use, there's loads of free software available, and the set-up is really simple - I would advise anyone to give it a go (I will provide a how-to guide on this in the near future).
One thing that I found that didn't work out of the box was connecting via RDP connection from my Windows 7 machine. This however is really simple to set-up:
1. Press CTRL ALT & T to bring up Terminal
2. Type sudo apt-get install xrdp and press Enter
3. You will prompted to enter your password
4. Let the terminal session do it's thing
And that's it! You can now connect via RDP from any Windows machine!
